Anchored
I chose to photograph this sculpture because I think it is a big part of Ann Arbor and there is nothing really like it. Photographing it was a little difficult because of the distracting background and strange shape. But, I was able to blur the background on one of the images to make the structure pop. This structure is unique because it is interactive- you an sit and swing on it as well as admire its strength and beauty. I think the fact that it's made out of iron bars really gives it character and strength that everyone needs from time to time.

Brick Colors
This church has always been so beautiful to me. The different colored bricks really make the beauty of it stand out. The stained doorway seems so inviting. Each window has a story that can only be told through looking in. Using the vibrance in Photoshop is what made these images so bright, and I think it worked out pretty well.

Down that Road
Nickel's Arcade has always been a special place for me. I would always walk through there with my parents when I was younger, glancing into the windows of small stores. My dad would take me to the place he sometimes bought suits- Van Boven, and we would walk out into Nickel's Arcade. I had to blur out some signs that were hanging inside of this walkway because they were distracting to the architecture of the place.

Gray Day
I wanted to take pictures of this building because it's really different from most of the building in Ann Arbor. It's more modern, and it makes the area around it feel clean. The metal lines going up the building really help show leading lines to the sky. In these photos, the building almost looks like a skyscraper. I liked photographing this building because it was so different from the rest of the buildings.

Reflections
This was one of the coolest places I took pictures of. I love the pillars in this building. They make it seem so professional and serious. I liked taking pictures from the bottom up for this building because it makes it look so tall and mysterious. The worn steps of the building really make the character of the building show.
